Jamaica a sun filled paradise that is enhanced by the music that fills the night and the laid back culture of the Jamaican locals. We took our adventure down to Montego Bay for a long weekend. We stayed at the Rose Hall Resort & Country Club where they had an all inclusive deal that included a room with a mountain view; the resort is located on the ocean on the north coast of the island.
Our first activity on the island was to get in a round of golf. The resort has there own gold course that includes a driving range and professionally laid out pro shop. One of the things that was unique to us was that they required a caddy with each one of us. Having a caddy was an interesting experience as he was helpful to our game but was a tad odd having a stranger spend the day with us watching our golf game.
After our morning day of golf on what was a fantastic course we went out sailing over the ocean. After being instructed we took off and the wind was up so we had to be on our toes as things happen faster than we could have ever imagined. After a couple close calls we made it back to shore and headed back up to the room for some relaxation before dinner. Our first night we ate at the Luna di Mare that is located overlooking the pool; the cuisine was Italian and provided a great night.
The next day we took an excursion through Jamaica Tours Unlimited that was a dolphin swim that lasted the day. It first took us through a jungle tour on our way to Dolphin Cove. On the jungle tour we where able to see many other reptiles, snakes, and huge iguanas. Once we arrived at Dolphin Cove it was an amazing experience we swam with dolphins. You get to touch and swim them; you are amazed on the way they interact with you.
We arrived back at the hotel and had dinner at Fresh which was outside overlooking the view. There was a steal band playing throughout the evening and limbo dancing during the night. The food was served buffet style and it much more casual than the previous night. Unfortunately it was a weekend trip for us as we could have stayed for weeks.
